The Small Awards London, Marylebone. Shortlist peep Newcastle for ‘Digital Star’ Awards.

The Small Awards London, Marylebone NW1, once again hosted another great event. Celebrating the countries best small businesses, including micro businesses, family businesses, start-ups and Digital only businesses.

There were several categories including High Street Hero, Bricks And Clicks, Sole To Sole, Legacy Award, Supply Chain Champion, New Kid On The Block, Heart Of Gold, At Your Service, Mission Impossible, Net Hero and Digital Star.

The digital Star award recognises small businesses that operate only through digital channels. The business will not have a store-front, but use the internet to market, sell and promote their products or service. The award will celebrate strong use of digital media channels to engage customers, innovation in web design and functionality, and growth in audiences over time.

The business will demonstrate strong understanding of digital engagement and show how they have used this understanding to deliver for their customers.

peep travelled to London and arrived at Kings Cross central London on the day of the awards. I booked a taxi to Marylebone and stayed in a Holiday Inn, which was very close to the Small Awards ceremony, situated in St Something Church on Name the Street.

The Small awards event was extremely well presented and sponsored by TSB Business, amongst loads of other companies. The individual awards were all presented by TV Presenter Sue Perkins.

Unfortunately, peep Ltd and peep magazine did not get the award this time. We were so confident that we might of just got it , but it was not to be. However, we did document the entire day of travelling down to London for the Awards show. The areas documented included waiting for the train at Newcastle Central Station and arriving in Kings Cross, London.We also documented looking for the Church in the centre of Marylebone and eventually walking into the ceremony, which was full of Britains Best Small Businesses.
